Our next Haunted History series, from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, will begin with a “Now & Then” at an area of the battlefield known as Devil’s Den due to the treacherous boulders strewn about the area. Gettysburg was one of the most highly photographed battle aftermaths of the war, due to its closer proximity to northern cities than previous fighting. Pictured here is arguably the most famous picture of the war, taken by Alexander Gardner’s studio. It is titled, “Home of the Rebel Sharpshooter”.
