Iconic ABC NEWS theme returns The ABC TV News Theme was composed by Sydney arranger and keyboard player Tony Ansell and Peter Wall, who worked at the ABC as a radio producer and manager.

Most excitedly for older fans, the iconic ABC TV News Theme, which was used from 1986 through to 2005, will be returning, with an updated arrangement and remix from the original 24-track master tapes.

The Action News theme song is a legendary part of the station's history. So we took it to CCAHA to be restored and conserved for generations to come.
