ABC11 christened the state-of-the-art studio as the "Raleigh Eyewitness News Center" and began broadcasting its noon news from there. Later that same year, ABC11 began broadcasting in high definition.

Disney says that the company is in negotiations with Charter Communications for a new agreement after Disney pulled ESPN, ABC and other cable channels off Charter-owned Spectrum's cable service.

ABC11 is downsizing its presence on Fayetteville Street in Downtown Raleigh. And another local station could be on the move soon.
